Emancipation of the Heart

Dreaming

dreaming of you

wherever you are it’s not here

or there

or anywhere that I’ve looked as of yet.

 

Surrendering

surrendering the very idea of you

in order to free myself

liberate myself

emancipate myself from a dream that may never come true.

 

I may now walk right on by you and not notice

But I won’t worry for a second about the loss for

I will be too focused on living in the moment

through you, in spite of you, for you and without you,

My life will be great

My hope is that yours will be too

We can try again in the next lifetime, my love.
