CurlyQ Who?

I have a good job that pays the bills and keeps the car on the road but it doesn’t fill my creative gas tank. When I started taking meeting notes in haiku format, I realized it was time to develop a space away from the four walls of my office where I can let off some outside-the-box steam and ask the bazillion questions that race through my brain.

Thanks so much. What fun trying to think of something every day!

I was rushed while reading your work and want to go back to it because I can see there is some depth there that deserves proper attention.

Hi and thanks for visiting. I am on Twitter though I am just getting started personally. I do it for work but haven’t quite figured out what I want to broadcast personally so mostly I just re-tweet or tweet if I think I’ve written something in here worth sharing. @CurlyQTop
I think I’m following you … I know I’ve seen you around so will follow if I’m not already. Looks like we have some interests in common!

I just read your article on “Tell Your Own Story” about your family history. My relatives were also Irish Palatines from Rathkeel, Ireland. They settled in the Upper Ottawa Valley (Ontario) in a place that was subsequently named after them, Micksburg.(they were Mick). They are many Switzers, Sparlings, Poffs, etc. (all Palatines) in the area. For many years, I also thought that my relatives were originally from Ireland and when I finally found out that they were originally from Germany, it explained a number of things.

Thanks for your note! I know my grandma’s parents came from southern Ontario and that at some point she had visited and kept in contact with cousins down there. I don’t know who they are but perhaps you’re one of them! Did you write a story for the site too?
